Abstract
Poor operating availability and reliability means more frequent failure in boiler system. The research investigated 5 different boiler system in KRPC based on availability, reliability and maintainability analysis. The boiler B5 operating condition was the highest with MTBF of 702 hours per month. The boiler system operating condition is at minimum MTBF of 394.068 hours per month and it is referred to boiler system mean (BSM). The BSM of MTTR was 41.5 hour. hours per month. The reliability and maintainability of boiler system in Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) were 0.9907 and 0.5034 respectively. It was observed boiler B5 did not meet the condition. Boiler B5 was affected by effect of accumulation of failure as it was left unrepaired. The average mean of boiler system availability was 0.72 operating function/month. The analysis showed that the boilers are reliable, available and maintainable within specified period of time based on scheduled maintenance

Key words: boiler, reliability, availability and maintainability
